BUDGET IMPLEMENTATION ACT, 2009

Order Fixing July 1, 2010 as the Date of the Coming into Force of Certain Sections of the Act

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to section 294 of the Budget Implementation Act, 2009, chapter 2 of the Statutes of Canada, 2009, hereby fixes July 1, 2010 as the day on which sections 270, 273, 277, 280, 283, 285 and 290 of that Act come into force.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

The Order fixes July 1, 2010 as the day on which sections 270, 273, 277, 280, 283, 285 and 290 of the Budget Implementation Act, 2009 come into force. Those provisions amend the Bank Act, the Cooperative Credit Associations Act, the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada Act, the Insurance Companies Act and the Trust and Loan Companies Act.
