RELEASE OF ASSETS

Pursuant to section 651 of Canada’s Insurance Companies Act (the “Act”), notice is hereby given that Avemco Insurance Company (“Avemco”) intends to apply to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada) on or after December 1, 2009, for the release of assets that it maintains in Canada in accordance with the Act.

Any policyholder in Canada of Avemco opposing that release must file notice of such opposition with the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, Legislation and Approvals Division, 255 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2, on or before December 1, 2009.

ASSUMPTION REINSURANCE TRANSACTION

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), that Aviva Insurance Company of Canada (“Aviva”) proposes to enter into an assumption reinsurance agreement (the “Agreement”), whereby, subject to receipt of all required regulatory approvals, Aviva will reinsure, on an assumption basis, all of the insurance risks undertaken by UAP-NewRotterdam Insurance Company N.V., the Canadian branch of REAAL Schadeverzekeringen N.V.
