Notice is hereby given that Girl Guides of Canada — Guides du Canada, a body duly incorporated by chapter 77 of the Statutes of Canada, 1917, will present to the Parliament of Canada at the present session or at either of the two sessions immediately following the present session, a petition for a private Act to amend An Act respecting The Canadian Council of The Girl Guides Association, as amended by chapter 80 of the Statutes of Canada, 1960–1961, in order to effect certain technical and incidental changes to the Act as may be appropriate.

On Thursday, March 26, 2009, Her Excellency the Governor General signified assent in Her Majesty’s name to the Bills listed below.
Assent was signified by written declaration, pursuant to the Royal Assent Act, S.C. 2002, c. 15. Section 5 of that Act provides that each Act “. . . is deemed to be assented to on the day on which the two Houses of Parliament have been notified of the declaration.”
