LIFE INVESTORS INSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA

ASSUMPTION REINSURANCE AGREEMENT

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), that Life Investors Insurance Company of America (“LIICA”) intends to make an application to the Minister of Finance (Canada), on or after May 12, 2008, for approval of the proposed assumption reinsurance of the Canadian business of LIICA to Canadian Premier Life Insurance Company.
