Conrad Wilkinson Remission Order

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, considering that it is in the public interest to do so, on the recommendation of the Minister of National Revenue, pursuant to subsection 23(2) (see footnote a)  of the Financial Administration Act, hereby remits to Conrad Wilkinson the amount of $4,392.77, representing a rebate of tax paid under Part IX of the Excise Tax Act in respect of the construction of a residential unit.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

This Order remits goods and services tax in the amount of $4,392.77, representing a rebate to which Conrad Wilkinson became disentitled after failing to apply for the rebate in a timely manner as a result of misleading advice from a Canada Customs and Revenue Agency official.
