Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 525(2) of the Bank Act, that Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c., a foreign bank with its head office in Dublin, Ireland, intends to apply to the Minister of Finance for an order permitting it to establish a lending foreign bank branch in Canada to carry on the business of banking. The branch will carry on business in Canada under the name Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. and its principal office will be located in Toronto, Ontario.
